Paul Dawber as "Desmond"

After 25 years as an actor, Paul Dawber is at home either on stage or in front of the camera, performing as a ‘low-life’ or an aristocrat.

Paul’s theatre credits are numerous, from La Mama to Playbox and The Queensland Theatre Company to The Los Angeles Shakespeare Company. Highlights include the roles of "Mercutio" in Romeo & Juliet for The Los Angeles Shakespeare Company, "Jonathan Harker" in Count Dracula for The Royal Queensland Theatre Company, and a 3 year National tour with The Sound Of Music for The Gordon/Frost Organisation in the role of "Herr Zeller".

His latest performances were in the title role of "Sam Philips", the founder of Sun Records Memphis, in The King Of Sun for Box Office Productions and the duel parts of "Richard" and "Wilson" in Careless for La Mama (in which most audience members didn’t realise that it was the same actor playing the 2 roles until curtain call).

He has worked in most Australian TV shows from Prisoner to City Homicide, including a series regular role in Sons & Daughters (as "Todd Buckley") in the late 80’s and a recurring guest role in Neighbours (as "Kim Howard") in the late 90’s. Other television appearances include roles in Blue Heelers, Stingers, Something In The Air, Short Cuts, Bastard Boys, The Colin Carpenter Show, Acropolis Now!, Mission Impossible, Carson's Law, The Flying Doctors and State Coroner, amongst others.

His latest role was in the cable TV series Satisfaction (Season 2). Paul has also appeared in several feature films including the AFI nominated Erskineville Kings.
