A classically trained musician, with a strong interest in the Arts, Marg Woodlock-McLean began her work as a behind-the-scenes Creative as Director of The Strolling Players - a youth performing arts touring troupe, who toured Australia, Holland, Switzerland and the U.K. Other relevant Arts experience includes working as Box Office Manager and Manager for the Playhouse Theatre, Toronto, Canada. She now runs her own special events company, Emjay Projects, organizing and managing large-scale events at venues such as The Royal Exhibition Buildings, and who's flagship event, Making The Most of Life, won the Minister for Sport and Recreation Award for the Most Outstanding Community Event of 2000. Marg has also produced several large-scale televised concerts at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl and the Victorian Arts Centre with various television personalities and youth groups to raise money for charities such as The Royal Children's Hospital. Marg's most recent credits in theatre and film include Production Manager for the premier season of the new Australian play Chasing Pegasus (a play in ten chords) as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival, as well as Unit Manager on the short films Brigit & Benny (a modern faerietale) and fixNATION. A 1956 Olympian and member of Athletics Australia, Marg is also a highly qualified Sports Medicine First Aider, attending serveral high-profile sporting events annually as a member of the GWS Sports Medicine First Aid Unit - the only Sports Medicine First Aid unit in the country. Her qualifications include Workplace Level 2 First Aid, Sports First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation with Oxygen, Asthma Certificate, Defibrillation Certificate and Epipen Certificate from Swinburne Institute of Technology (Occ. Health and Safety Dept.), Sports Medicine Australia and The Asthma Foundation. |
